ANT AGING TREATMENTS
The inevitable march of time affects us all, and this can be frustrating as we notice its unforgiving impact on our energy levels, mental acuity, and overall quality of life.
Although aging may be unavoidable, we at Liv are determined to ensure that your age is truly just a number. Anti Aging is a well worn phrase with little meaning and definition. To some, it is skin care, to others it is dealing with wrinkles on the face and around the eyes. To many, it is the ravages of time resulting in less energy for the activities they enjoy. We embed our approach to anti-aging in a wellness perspective, treating each individual to meet their specific goals. Combining the allopathic, osteopathic and naturopathic principles, we approach your treatment in a manner calibrated to your needs.
HGH and Testosterone Therapy
As men age, many report lower levels of physical performance, desire, and overall drive. Our doctor can assess the root cause of these changes and the possibility of these being caused by deficiencies in growth hormones and testosterone levels.
Only one of the anti aging treatments may be necessary for the body chemistry of a particular individual, while others may require both HGH and Testosterone therapy in order to restore balance to their body.
(Side note: HGH has developed a negative perception in the public eye due to athletes abusing its benefits for sports enhancement before their bodies really need the treatment. While plenty of studies have identified definitive risks associated with using HGH when no deficiencies are present, there is a well-documented body of medical research that has shown the important benefits to men over the age of 30 who may have experienced a decrease in the levels of either compound.)
Anti Aging Treatments
For women, aging has an even more dramatic effect on hormonal balances than those changes experienced in men. Menopause causes a dramatic decrease in hormonal production, especially with respect to the estrogens like estradiol (produced in premenopausal women) and estriol (produced during pregnancy) as well as testosterone.
This produces a range of irritating symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, and vaginal dryness, and many women have unfortunately accepted that these uncomfortable changes are now an inescapable part of their life. However, in consulting a doctor and obtaining the appropriate tests, we can now identify where hormonal deficiencies exist and what action to take to rectify these imbalances.
The discomfort of menopause no longer needs to define your day-to-day. Correcting these hormonal imbalances can have a powerful impact on your overall quality of life. At LIV, the assessment and treatment can let you experience a clear mind, newfound physical stamina, and a renewed perspective on what it means to “age gracefully.”
Testosterone & HGH
Under many circumstances, the effects of HGH and testosterone injections will appear similar: increased energy, augmented physical stamina, weight loss, increased muscle mass and tone, improved memory and mental faculties, and a boosted libido. Our anti aging treatments have also been shown to have a positive impact on physical, external effects of aging as well: reduced levels of cellulite, stronger nails, smoother, healthier skin, and thicker hair.
Furthermore, on a psychological level, deficiencies in testosterone or HGH can both negatively affect one’s mood and disposition. HGH and Testosterone treatments therefore comprehensively improve overall quality of life, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Your results: A deeper, fuller sleep and increased energy and drive to handle whatever challenges your day throws your way.
Procedural safety, ease, and efficacy have made Botox the most popular cosmetic anti-aging procedure worldwide. With age, the repeated muscle contractions that form our facial expressions inevitably produce forehead lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet. Botox temporarily relaxes muscle activity in the injection site, which causes a reduction in the appearance of the wrinkles and lines in that area. Results may appear within 24-48 hours of injection and should last up to 4 months. For optimal results, use in conjunction with a dermal filler, such as Juvederm.
Juvederm, like Botox, works to smooth facial wrinkles and lines that have formed naturally as a result of aging. Although similar to Botox on a practical level, Juvederm comes from a different family of anti-aging injectables called “fillers.” Rather than relax the targeted muscles, as with Botox, fillers “fill” creases and plump the skin for a fresh, youthful appearance. Hyaluronic acid, Juvederm’s primary ingredient, binds to the skin cells’ natural water stores to physically restore lost tissue volume for up to a year. Additionally, because Juvederm and Botox employ different mechanisms to treat signs of aging, the two injections may be used simultaneously to achieve greater results. Botox preserves the underlying muscle, while Juvederm plumps the skin, smoothes out fine lines, and helps produce a softer, more natural appearance.
Estrogen, Estradiol & Estriol
Estrogen hormones, estradiol and estriol, are administered to improve hydration to the skin and hair, decreased vaginal dryness, and sustained bone density. Testosterone may be prescribed to aid in the dilation of coronary arteries to decrease blood pressure, cholesterol & LDL, fasting blood glucose, and joint aches, while increasing bone density, energy, mental clarity, and muscle responsiveness. Progesterone may also be recommended for menopausal patients who have not undergone a hysterectomy in order to protect against the development of uterine cancer while also promoting a more stabilized sleep pattern.
